Privacy Policy

Nutrition + Fitness ("the app", "we", "us") is provided by I Vidanelage Thusitha Pradeep Madhusanka Jayalath, trading as Glitchfy. This policy explains what data the app handles. The short version: your profile, logs, plans and journal are stored on your device, and no account is required.

We do not run ads, we do not use third-party tracking or behavioural analytics, and we do not sell your data.

1. Information on your device

The app stores the profile and goals you enter, nutrition and activity logs, saved meal and exercise plans, AI conversations, and journal photos and notes in its local app storage. It uses this information to provide plans, logging, and progress views. The app does not upload these contents to a remote AI service, and no account is required to use it.

2. Apple Health

With your permission, the app reads steps, active energy, exercise time, walking/running distance, workouts, and body mass from Apple Health to display your progress. Access is read-only — the app never writes to Apple Health. HealthKit readings are held in memory while the app displays them; Apple Health remains their persistent source. We do not use HealthKit data for advertising or sell it. You can disconnect in the app and revoke access through Apple Health or your device settings at any time. Disconnecting does not delete records already in Apple Health.

3. Photos and camera

You choose whether to take or select a photo for your meal or progress journal. Saved journal images are copied to the app's local storage. The app does not perform remote photo analysis — meal calorie and protein values are optional numbers you enter yourself, not estimated from the image. Deleting a journal entry removes its copy from the app; it does not remove the original from your Photos library or reverse nutrition totals already logged.

4. On-device AI coaching

AI coaching runs on a language model that executes entirely on your device after an initial download of approximately 940 MB. Your prompts and conversations are processed locally and are not sent to a remote inference service.

That model download itself connects to Hugging Face and its delivery infrastructure over HTTPS. Those providers receive the network information needed to serve the download, such as IP address and request metadata, governed by their own policies. App updates may connect to Expo's update service, which similarly receives request metadata needed to check for and deliver updates.

5. What we do not collect

No name, email, or phone number is required to use the app.
No advertising identifiers, location tracking, or behavioural analytics.
No contact list, photos, or files are accessed unless you explicitly grant a permission for a specific feature.

6. Your choices and deletion

Because your data is local, you are always in control:

Delete individual journal photos, or remove the downloaded AI model, from Settings.
Resetting your health profile clears your profile and goals; it does not erase every saved log, conversation, plan, or photo.
Deleting the app through your device settings removes its local app data — offloading the app is different and may retain data.
Device or iCloud backups, and original items in your Photos library, are managed separately by you and Apple/Google. No in-app cloud-sync service is provided.

7. Children

Nutrition + Fitness is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above, and where appropriate, noted in the app.
